I got to photograph this little bundle of joy in California. He was about a week old when I these pictures were taken. I was pretty excited to find out he was born on the same day I was born - July 29th! I'll be back in October to photograph him again!

These beautiful women are Pamela and her two daughters Nikki and Kelsey. It is so apparent how much these ladies love and appreciate eachother. We had quite a random adventure starting at Pamela's house, then a coffee shop, then a library, then to the frigid windy outdoors in the foothills! They were so optimistic even when we felt like our fingers were going to fall off due to the cold weather. Thanks for being such great supermodels ladies!

11.22.14  |  Remembering Mark Inman

 

On November 21, 2014, I received one of the most unexpected and heart breaking phone calls from my Aunt Susan. She told me the news that my father had passed. His friend Ronnie had found him on his recliner chair after trying to call him for a day or two with no answer. We don't know the exact cause of death but we do know that he had passed in his sleep. No one is ever prepared for this kind of news, and being that it was the first time I had ever lost anyone really close to me, it feels very surreal even to this day. The thing I still can't comprehend is that I can't just pick up my phone and call him. He leaves behind 4 children: Elissa, Jake, Shane and myself; all of which are the last of the Inman's. The siblings and my boyfriend David left the very next day to make a drive to Corpus Christi, Texas. These are photos that I took of our unanticipated journey from Albuquerque, New Mexico to my Dad's house in Corpus Christi, Texas to gather his belongings and to see his physical self one last time at his viewing. Along the way, we tried to make the best out of the situation and other times it was very emotional for us. You can see his personality in all of his gadgets and things he had in and around the house.  He only had this house for about a year which was a great milestone in his life. I had to document the way he lived and the things he saw everyday so that we can remember Mark Inman's environment and how he lived before he passed.

Meet the Windham's! Probably one of the easiest familes to photograph (and it doesn't hurt that they are all good looking too!). This was shot on campus at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK. The University was so beautiful with colorful gardens and old historic buildings which made for great backdrops. 

I had the pleasure of photographing this ecclectic upcoming music artist named Malachi.
